The intention is to publicly strengthen the value of their commitment and raise awareness among their interest groups.Irizar is joining the #apoyamoslosODS campaign launched by the Spanish United Nations Global Compact (of which it is a member) to work on spreading the United Nations' goals. Out its own commitment to the SDGs, the goal is to act as a spokesperson and obtain a multiplier effect to raise awareness and work on the goals with communications material published through its channels.
Irizar joined the UN Global Compact, the largest worldwide business sustainability initiative, in 2013. Since the 2030 Agenda was approved in 2015, in addition to their commitment to promoting the Ten Principles, they've worked on aligning their corporate management with the SDGs, where they can find new business opportunities, improve their relationships with stakeholders and promote innovation.
Along those lines, Irizar has established a number of commitments and best practices aligned with their strategy. Notable among them
is their drive and innovation to reinvent themselves as a global actor in Sustainable and Intelligent Mobility. Sustainable mobility is a transversal goal aligned with four of our high priority SDGs.
