10 new Irizar i6S Efficient for Lux Express

The new vehicles were presented yesterday in Tallinn and are operating, from today, on several routes in Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania. Another 17 units of the same model will be delivered next year.

The Estonian company Lux Express once again places its trust in Irizar and acquires 10 new 15-metre Irizar i6S Efficient on Scania chassis. The vehicles, the first delivery of a total order of 27 units, have been customised to the maximum to meet the company's demanding standards of comfort, service and safety. The new units have a layout of 56 laterally movable seats, with individual screens, airplane-style tables, bathroom, kitchen, hot and cold drinks dispenser, USB sockets and 220V charger in each seat, thus offering passengers maximum performance and unequalled comfort.

A sustainability leader

The new Irizar i6S Efficient provides a weight reduction of up to 950kg, a 30% improvement in the aerodynamic coefficient and a reduction in consumption and emissions of up to 13%, making it a benchmark in sustainability. The vehicles are also equipped with a digital camera system, which offers optimum vision in all conditions, whether at night or in the rain, which also reduces fuel consumption.

Thanks to these technological innovations, Lux Express now has a new range of sustainable and efficient vehicles to meet the average of 45,000 kilometres per day driven by its vehicles. "In 2022, we made 60,000 bus journeys and attended more than 2.4 million passengers," say the company.
